Good Morning,
Hopefully everyone enjoyed a great Holiday. Great news everyone, we are close to reaching the Kickstarter Goal currently only $150 shy, & this month we are actually building the exhibit works with the pictures that have come in from the camera’s distributed. There are many more camera’s still coming in. Lucinda & I are meeting tomorrow to begin organizing the existing pictures for the exhibit design. This is the time where the bulk of the construction work is completed for us to deliver a completed project by November 1st at Downtown Palo Alto City Hall, and have everything prepared for our event at the plaza, & the Thanks Giving presentation at All Saints Church Palo Alto. There is much work to do, it is exciting, inspirational, & an honor working with everyone in this project. Thank you for coming forward with love, generosity, and trust. Looking forward to observing & experiencing the results of our actions.

Exciting New Pictures developed =)
Exciting to see the pictures picked out from the CD's & showing everyone what we have so far, & more coming in. We need to get word out to everyone possible to bring in the remaining funding we need through Kickstarter, now it's launched & reachable by links on our websites that may also be pasted into emails & shared. Thank you John for being the first "backer" with the generous donation of $100. Looking forward to a great meeting today. Camera’s coming back in Yay! =)
We have 10 more camera’s back in now, 27 exposures each, that’s potentially 270 more pictures to add to the archive. It’s very exciting, it will be cool to see the pictures that everyone participating has gathered. We have more camera’s to give out, and more people joining in this project, Thank you everyone!

Excellent Progress =)
Met with Lucinda today to further develop the design for the design of the install piece, she lent some great example art books to look at & we dropped off 2 camera’s for development CD’s to be made for samples and archiving. We are meeting with John to have sample prints done & to progress the process of the actual production. I completed the 1st draft of a poster/flyer for the picture project, & will email it for review & suggestions. Excellent Progress!

Photo Project Progressing Well
Now in only 2 weeks we distributed half of the first 50 camera’s for the photo exhibit project. All is going very well, today at the DST meeting we will hopefully receive some camera’s checked back in. We will soon create some sample prints, thanks @John Sack @Jeff Rensch @Chris Richardson @Lucinda & everyone one that participates =)

The BEGIN WITH LOVE Project is an initiative of the Downtown Streets Team of Palo Alto to raise awareness about homelessness in our community. The aim of this project is to launch a large scale photographic exhibit, created completely by the homeless community, to be placed on public display during the 2011 holiday season and beyond. The exhibit will express moments that reflect not only the serious nature of what is experienced by homelessness, but also the beauty of what we see, like loving actions, giving, and smiles where there were none before. It will also reflect comedy moments, laughs, touching moments, and compassion. We are hoping that this project will inspire & motivate others to get involved in all areas. The homeless bringing to it their dignity & courage, and volunteers bringing their love & generosity.
:Basic Instructions:
1. Have fun, while using the digital camera included in this kit to gather pictures of things that you love in daily life, like friends, places you enjoy, & things you enjoy.
2. Find moments that “speak” to you then take a picture of the moment, like when joking with people you know. Maybe at a gathering or event or just waiting for a Bus ride.
3. Find Places that you have been & Places you are going, gather pictures that show some thing about these places that you are grateful for.
4. Freestyle, gather picture in any creative way you wish, maybe try different angles, from the ground looking up, or at some special & or different creative style.
5. Please avoid as much as possible all commercial signs, logos, designs, & landmarks in your pictures. Also please remember to first ask each person included in your photos to sign the release form. Everyone who returns their cameras with pictures & forms included will be added to the Begin With Love Credits & may have some of their pictures selected & included in the Featured install piece & DVD presentations.
